Grade Top

Grade quality impact to the extent the perfume oils resemble the designer scent, and often the longevity (sillage) in the final retail perfume product. 

A higher grade quality oil can also be used in smaller amounts for a lighter product. Longevity/sillage is measured on French standards and is estimated on clothing (not skin):

B = i.ex roomsprays, lotions, colognes, aftershaves; A = i.ex Eau de Cologne, Eau de Toilette; A+ = i.ex Eau de Parfum; Top = i.ex Eau de Parfum, Eau de Parfum intense; Top = i.ex Parfum.

* The masceration process is vital and will affect longevity, depth and sillage of a perfume, and should be done professionally.

** The is a general guideline for information purposes only and may not reflect all fragrance types. For example, an oil made of floral top notes will have shorter longevity.
